| Angel Island is a veritable photographer's
paradise. Not only are there incredible views of the bay area,
there also is an abundance of wildlife and plants, including a profusion
of flowers in the spring time. Add to this the variety of
historical structures, ranging from restored to crumbling reminders of
our past, then layer on the effects of the microclimates and seasons
here in San Francisco Bay, and you have endless opportunities to express
your skills and artistry. It is probably not an accident that the
Angel Island Association's former Executive Director and past president is a
professional photographer!
A night time photography group, The Nocturnes,
hosted an Angel Island Photo Camp in 2002, and spent the night of a
full moon exploring the island photographically. The first set of
