SALT DOUGH RECIPE

2 Cups flour
1-cup salt
1-cup water

  1. Mix together the flour, salt and half the water in a mixing bowl. Knead the mixture, gradually adding more water until the dough has a smooth, firm consistency. Be careful not to add too much water or dough will sag and become sticky.
  2. Remove the dough from the bowl and knead for 10 minutes. Rest the dough for 30 minutes in an airtight container.
  3. Create your masterpiece – insert a paper clip in the top if it is an ornament.
  4. Bake at 250 degrees until completely hardened. (Maybe an hour.)

CHRISTMAS MOUSE

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…. But this one does.

  1. Take one large gentleman’s handkerchief and fold into a triangle.
  2. Fold the ends in.
  3. Roll up from the bottom.
  4. Fold ends around in the back.
  5. Tuck the tip of the triangle in and start rolling.
  6. Roll, roll, roll until you can’t anymore and two loose ends emerge.
  7. Twist and knot one end to make ears.

To make the mouse jump, hold it in the palm of your hand with the head facing you. Have your fingers slightly bent. Pat the mouse then snap your fingers closed.

This mouse will stir!
